Hand Held Hydraulic Crushing and Bursting

Hydraulic Bursting & Crunching for Controlled Demolition of Concrete and Masonry

Hand Crunching

Hydraulic hand crunching for controlled concrete demolitionHand crunching provides an almost silent controlled demolition technique for crushing concrete or masonry into manageable lumps without vibration. Our powerful hand operated crushing equipment can crush concrete up to 300mm depth.

Powered by electricity, heavy jobs can be effortlessly handled on both internal and external structures. Its compact physical size makes our hand operated concrete crushing equipment versatile enough to work in restricted areas.

Operated by a two-man team, the G Clamp configuration is placed over the material to be crushed. Once positioned, the operator will activate the hydraulic ram to crush the concrete or masonry within the clamp. This crushing technique creates a non-percussive sheering action, causing the integrity of concrete to break down under the pressure.

This process is repeated in bite sized increments and concrete is removed as the work proceeds.

Our concrete crushing equipment is ideal for shopping centres, hospitals and offices, which are sensitive to noise, vibration and dust.

Concrete Bursting

Concrete burstingThis concrete demolition technique will burst reinforced mass concrete and masonry using a hydraulic, i.e. non-percussive, action. Ideal usage is in office blocks, shopping centres, residential buildings, and hospitals -anywhere that requires large lumps of material removed quietly and free of vibration.

Used in conjunction with diamond drilling, powerful hydraulic rams are inserted into pre-drilled holes and expanded until the material is forced apart. Once the integrity has been broken down the concrete can be removed using whatever method is applicable.

Deep concrete masses are ideal for hydraulic bursting especially when access and noise are a problem. Our concrete crushing equipment can provide 80 tonne of pressure through its rams making it a formidable force to have when dealing with large volumes of concrete.

We can also offer you other bursting techniques for more unusual jobs including:

  • electric handheld splitters - often used where access is a problem, and
  • chemical bursting which provides a useful alternative method when dealing with difficult site conditions.
