TATA Steel Clean Out In A Furnace

At Tata Steel Port Talbot site near Swansea in South Wales, Castle & Pryor were employed to complete removal of iron and slag from the under hearth cooling pipe work within one of the Tata Steel blast furnaces. Using a Brokk 160 robotically controlled demolition machine a team of Castle & Pryor operatives were scheduled to work 3 days and nights, however, the project was speedily completed within 24 hours.
