Castle & Pryor Health and Safety Policy

Promoting an Active Health and Safety Culture for Your Projects

Health & Safety

At Castle & Pryor, Health and Safety takes top priority during all aspects of our operations from the planning and pricing stages, to the execution of the works.

We have a dedicated ‘staff’ Health and Safety team with both IOSH and NEBOSH accreditation, and a full mandate to vigorously promote a pro-active Health and Safety culture within the company, through all levels from workplace to senior management.

Regular site visits by our senior site management team, with an accumulated knowledge of the trade spanning some 100 years between them, and regular recorded and documented ‘On Site’ toolbox talks ensure that:

  • good Health and Safety theory is converted into best Health and Safety practice at workplace levels, and
  • all required Health and Safety information is effectively disseminated at workplace levels.

Regular company Health and Safety performance reviews and audits ensure that best Health and Safety practice is adhered to at all management and site levels.

Our Health and Safety manager has upwards of 23yrs experience on ‘the tools’ before moving into a Health and Safety management role within the company and, because of this background, he looks at all tasks with a practical eye. He is also a C.I.T.B accredited D33 NVQ trade assessor for ‘Concrete Drilling and Sawing’ operations.

The company promotes a ‘can do, and can do safely’ attitude throughout all levels of company management and workplace operations.
